The Akrapovic titanium downpipes with a 200-cell catalytic converter for the BMW M2 G87 combine sporty performance with a slightly more refined exhaust flow compared to catless versions. The high-performance 200-cell catalytic converter reduces exhaust backpressure while simultaneously delaying exhaust aftertreatment, resulting in measurably improved turbocharger response.

Although these downpipes have a 200-cell catalytic converter, they are not street legal or have a type approval certificate . Installing them generally invalidates the vehicle's operating license for use on public roads.
